About me
Hi, my name is Denise Vokoun. I starting quilting when my aunt, Cheri, challenged my mom, her sister, and me to make a quilt for the 1996 Minnesota Quilter Show. The theme of the show was "Sisters in Quilting". Cheri taught the three of us how to quilt and we each entered a quilt in the show. There was a special category for Sister's in quilting, where my aunts and mom entered their quilts, and we entered mine in the judged category of "First Quilt". I took a ribbon for 1st Place in that category. I have had a love for every aspect of quilting ever since.

Throughout the years I have entered many competitions. I find entering a challenge has stretched my skills as a quilter. I have won numerous awards, ribbons and even a transatlantic cruise. My quilts have been displayed at many venues around the world, the National Quilt Museum in Paducah, the New England Quilt Museum in Boston and Bohin, France to name a few. Several of my quilts have also been published in magazines including Simply Moderne Quilting, Quilters Newsletter and Quilting World.
My passion for quilting brings me immense joy, whether I'm longarming quilts, collaborating on designs, or enjoying retreats with fellow quilters.

I'm just Quilting my way through Life!
